Ruth & Arthur Broder have invited one and all to join them in their swimming pool in Boston if the January sun gets to be to much for you in Maui.
Wouldn’t everyone rather be playing tennis in the snow – than out on the Kaanapali Golf Courses.
See Sally Thorpe to get your free passes to the Mercedes Open and meet Clint Eastwood and Tiger Woods and Bill Green.

THE GAME OF SHUFFLEBOARD.
For years the numbers were chalked on deck by the crew: it seems not to have occurred to anyone to have them painted there permanently until after the First World War, although chalking them meant that the game could be moved about to accommodate other activities. The length of the court was a matter of contention among the various ocean liners. Those on the Ile de France in 1927 were the longest, necessitating a forty foot shot for the gentlemen. Ladies were traditionally permitted to use their own foul line closer to the target. Gridded numbers at either end were laid out so that in any direction, including diagonally, they added up to a total of fifteen. This arbitrary arrangement was all the more surprising in that it had no effect on the scoring itself.
As experienced Maui Kaanapali Villas shuffleboard players, we thought you would find this little bit of history interesting.
There will be a test on the “Game of Shuffleboard Saga” at the awards dinner.
